The pragmatic radical |CNET.com

This interview with Michael Dell is useful. Check out this idea...
"How do you hold your executives accountable in terms of execution?"
We have metrics and agreed-to goals and objectives. There's a great amount of focus and attention on customer experience and efficiency, and how we're doing time-to-market and service levels. We have a process called BPI, business process improvement, which any employee can be involved in. If five workers on the production line see something that isn't working, instead of complaining about it, they have BPI. They form a team, they go solve it and it becomes a BPI project in a global database. We're saving $1.8 billion with this kind of process. "

Reuters: Take the red pill -- and embrace Microsoft?

The Matrix extends to Microsoft. Somehow I don't think this is a "promotional" video, it's just the yearly Comdex video clip which Bill Gates does for fun and only attendees get to enjoy. 'Sigh'

Blogcritics.org: Do PDAs have a future?

Are PDAs an endangered species? I think it's an interesting subject and one worth thinking about. It seems to me that PDAs will always have a place in that their power and utility get somewhat lost in an integrated device WHICH has as it's primary feature set a phone. But the approach of the PocketPC Smartphone which integrates voice capabilities into a great PDA seems to me to be the most winning combination. Nothing against Palm, but as you see from this users experience, the more advanced features still aren't implementing well on the PalmOS. This is where PocketPC shines. I think PDAs just for calendaring and contacts are threatened but not the richer experience PDAs with voice and as a subset of services.
